Damn Kids and Their Rattles.

We here at Twin believe that the only rattle coming from your car should be the trunk shaking from the music of your favorite tunes being played loudly through residential neighborhoods. As your neighbors emerge from their house, shaking their fists...they may be annoyed, but they know you're driving around without a care in the world.

Now, swap the trunk shaking bass for a loose and rusty tie rod. Not only can rattles be annoying, they are the soundtrack of irresponsibility and could be pointing to a potentially dangerous problem that you've yet to address. The ol' girl's your pride and joy and that means you have to show her that tender love and care that can only exist between man and machine. So where do you bring her to get fixed?

Well, if you bring her to a shop without a Rattle Tracker...you are bringing her to a shop that is going to take a few guys off of actually wrenching vehicles to go drive her around. Harmless enough? Not quite. On their trip they are going to be driving erratically and hitting every pot hole they can before they go back to the garage and GUESS where the rattle is! Who knows what they'll take apart and how long it will take them to hypothesize their way to the solution.

On the other hand, you can bring your ride to a garage that has a Rattle Tracker. They'll pull your vehicle in, roll the Rattle Tracker over, pull her up so one of her tires rests gently against their patented roller system and hit the button. The Rattle Tracker will shake your girl just right while the mechanic walks around your vehicle and finds exactly where the rattle is, while it’s rattling! No abuse to your ride, wasted gas that was in your tank or countless hours trying to find a well hidden rattle.

The guys over at Rattle Tracker came to us to hit the Internet running, so step one was a killer website featuring the product. From here we're planning out their domination of garages nationwide and getting them there by pairing our Internet savvy with their down home sales approach. If you happen to be in Vegas on November 4th, you can drop in and see the Rattle Tracker team at SEMA. There might even be another surprise there if we have anything to do with it,but that's still under wraps. We'll just say in advance...you're welcome guys.

Like a Hot Knife Through...Bagels?

In the world of advertising, we see get to see all sorts of inventions. Some are great, others not so great. Fortunately for the Doctors of Bagelology – Dennis and Michael Moss – they’ve found their niche in the bagel industry with a product that can rid the world of Bagel Related Injuries (BRIs) forever.

How many times have you been cutting a bagel (or any other single serving bread product for that matter) and quickly realized that it wasn’t ketchup covering your meal…it was blood. Don’t worry; it’s happened to the best of us. It’s ok. We’re here for you. And so is the Moss family. Their Brooklyn Bagel Slicer features a patented design that makes cutting yourself nearly impossible. The blade is encased in a plastic housing which allows you to slice through your bagel, but the design stops the blade before it gets to your hand. Perfect for those groggy mornings where there isn’t enough coffee in the world to get you to a state of alertness that you can properly handle a large knife.

Dennis and Michael have some big things in the works and their bagel related products are sure to change your bagel experiences forever. Do yourself a favor and pick up a Brooklyn Bagel Slicer. And while you’re at it…send us some cream cheese for our office bagels. Light if you remember. We’re watching our girlish figure.

Five Angels Still Very Much With Us

On June 26, 2007 five young ladies from Fairport were killed in a car crash, just days after their high school graduation. The impact of this tragedy was felt across the nation, but especially in Rochester and its surrounding areas. We remember it well and it touched us all in different ways. The feeling crept back around its one year anniversary, but this time there was a chance for us to get involved in some positive reinforcement.

In early July we met with Meryl and John, board members for the Angel Walk. The Angel Walk is an event held in the memory of Hannah, Bailey, Meredith, Sara and Katie with all proceeds going to the Fairport-Perinton Dollars for Scholars Five Fairport Angels Memorial Scholarship. The walk was set up, but they needed a website to help with distributing information and showcasing the cause. We were more than happy to help out by designing a site to serve as their place on the web and link to some of the great groups on the Facebook social networking platform honoring the girls.

We encourage you to check it out, and more importantly help out a great cause. The Fairport Angel Walk is August 1st, and you can register or donate from the FiveAngels.org website. You can also share in the memories of the girls through Facebook and contact John & Meryl directly if you have an inquiry regarding the charity, walk or if you think you can help in a unique way.

You Say Tomaino, We Say...

Well, we say Tomaino too but we’re all out of funny quips or doctor jokes. So instead, we’re just going to tell you a little bit about Dr. T. First of all, he loves mohawks(!) and gold chains. ZING! Alright, alright. We couldn't resist the corny joke. Don't pity us fools too much (seriously...we're done).

After spending over 15 years in full time academic practice, Dr. Tomaino has founded Tomaino Orthopaedic Care for Shoulder, Hand and Elbow. He is shifting the focus of his practice to spotlight his true passion in the industry; patient care. A new start needs a new look right? That’s where we came in. A few years ago we had put together drtomaino.com and built him a content management system (CMS) so he could upload anything and everything he wants to his site to keep patients informed. We just finished giving the site a serious face lift, designed him a new logo and wrote him a custom blogging platform so he can post articles on whatever he’s thinking about that week. We’ve expanded on the site’s functionality, but also reorganized content so things are easier to find and won’t get buried.

On top of the new website and logo, we’ve also done some print work for Dr. Tomaino to help him get the word out that about his private practice. Got a bum shoulder? Tennis elbow? Hand problems from typing out release after release of all the work that Twin Advertising wants you to know about? Dr. Tomaino can help you out with all of that.

Pay him a visit (no co-pay needed) at drtomaino.com.

*vrrrrrrrrrrrrrooooooooooooomm*

Can you hear that? Engines revving, fans cheering, beers being cracked open...yep, NASCAR season is in full swing.

Here at Twin, we love speed. Nothing beats putting the pedal to the floor and temporarily becoming one with your ride (except maybe pitting the interns against each other in a race for bragging rights on the office bike). But as fun as that sounds, the bike tires are flat and John won't let us take the Porsche out for a joy ride, so we needed to look elsewhere to fulfill the need for speed. It didn't take long for Tim Brown Racing to pull over and offer us a ride that we plan on enjoying for a while.

You may have heard about Tim Brown choosing us for not only their interactive marketing, but also some print work. Well, the print piece has been shipped and today we are announcing the official launch of timbrownracing.com. The site's purpose is to give potential sponsors / investors information on the company and it's plans, along with providing a way to contact TBR directly. Once they have finalized the selection of their first driver, we will be developing a more fun, fan oriented site focused on the first man to take the wheel for Tim Brown Racing.

Until then...check out the microsite and tune into some NASCAR. It's not just left turns and caution flags, ya know.
