We’ve been neck-deep in the healthcare field for a while now and we’re not talking Swine Flu.
We’re talking about what we believe will be the next big movement for healthcare benefits; HSA health plans. As health care premiums are continually rising, both employers and employees are looking for other health plan options. While a growing number of employers have embraced the positive alternative of an HSA based health plan, a large percentage of them find the plans complicated to communicate. Many employees avoid them because they simply find them hard to understand.
To solve this problem, StreetWise HSA contacted us to develop the first one-stop, customizable health savings account (HSA) education platform on the web. This comprehensive platform offers employers the best way to educate their employees about HSA health plans while helping employees use their HSA health plan to reduce their costs and best prepare for the future.
We’ve been on board with StreetWise HSA from the beginning. We developed their brand identity, produced video content and helped guide them in their journey online. We also created a full-featured system to help them reach their usability goals. When you first hit StreetWiseHSA.com, you see the external website. This is the sales tool for the system which gives potential users an introduction into what they can expect from the platform, and why it’s a great idea to use it.
When they decide to move forward and register, the employer will have access to their own portal, including a content management system where they can post their company’s health benefits information, resources and upload their existing healthcare plans for their employees. The employer is given control to customize most of the system’s content to fit their needs and even add their own content. We developed a master multimedia HSA presentation (including video hosts) that can be easily tailored by employers and/or HR managers. In addition to the many other resources that we produced to help support the system and its goal, employers even have full access to a custom campaign manager. This allows them to distribute personalized emails to their employees and track their activity within the portal. When the employee gets that email and clicks for more, they’ll be led to the employee facing portal to watch videos, get answers to frequently asked questions, and calculate their potential savings by switching to the HSA health plan that their employer offers. The custom designed Savings Calculator is dynamically loaded with employer-specific health plans and contributions so the numbers generated are realistic estimates for the employee, not just a broad generalization like most online calculators.
While this takes care of the users of the system, we also needed a way to allow the administrators to add and update content to the system that all users would have access to. We developed a full administration and support center where all information can be centrally managed by the StreetWise HSA staff.
